The course of true love Never did run smooth Oh spite to old To be engaged to young. Oh Hell, to choose love by another's eye Swift as the shadow Short as any dream Brief as the lighting Suddenly seen The jaws of darkness devour it up If then true lovers have been crossed Oh cross to high to be enthralled to low As due to love as thoughts and sighs Wishes and tears and goodbyes Helena: How happy some o'er other some can be! Through Athens I am thought as fair as she. But what of that? Dominic thinks not so; He will not know what all but he do know. And as he errs, doting on Mia's eyes, So I err, admiring his qualities. Things base and vile, folding no quantity, Love can transpose to form and dignity. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. Nor hath Love's mind of any judgment taste; Wings, and no eyes, figure unheedy haste. And therefore is Love said to be a child, Because in choice he is so oft beguiled. For ere Dominic looked on Mia's eye, He hailed down oaths that he was only mine; And when this hail some heat from Mia felt, So he dissolved, and show'rs of oaths did melt. I will go tell him of fair Mia's flight. And then to the woods will he tomorrow night Pursue her; and for this intelligence If I have thanks, it is a dear expense. But herein mean I to enrich my pain, To have his sight thither and back again. If then true lovers had been crossed True love did never run smooth

You spotted snake with double tounge, thorny hedgehogs be not seen Newts and blinds worms do no wrong, do no wrong Weaving spiders come not here, you long-legged spinners hence Beetles blacks approach not near, worm nor snail offense Philomel with melody sing in our sweet lullaby Come not near our fairy queen, lullaby Philomel with melody sing in our sweet lullaby Never harm nor spell nor charm, lullaby Philomel with melody sing in our sweet lullaby Come our lovely lady nigh so goodnight with, lullaby I saw Cupid loose from his bow Turn a flower purple that was once white as snow Juice from that flower on those eyes that dream Will make the sleeper wake to love the next thing it sees There is a bank where wild thyme blows There sleeps Titania lulled in flowers and dances We'll streak her eyes with this juice and make her full of hateful fantasies I'll put a drop of it in Titania's eyes, when she sleeps She'll pursue the next thing that she sees When she wakes whether a lion, bear, a wolf, or a bull Before I lift this charm I'll make her give up the boy There is a bank where wild thyme blows There is a bank where wild thyme blows There sleeps Titania lulled in flowers and dances There is a bank where wild thyme blows There is a bank where wild thyme blows What you see when you awake, do it for your true love take Love and languish for his sake Be it boar with bristled hair When you wake it shall appear In your eye it is your dear So wake when some vile thing is near What you see when you awake, do it for your true love take

Lord what fools these mortals be Begging for their remedy Hit with Cupids archery In the apple of their eye When his love he doth espy He lets her shine like Venus in the sky And when you wake up Beg for a remedy Captain of our fairy band Helen is here at hand And the youth mistook by me Pleading for a lovers fee Shall we this fond pageant see Lord what fools these mortals be And those things please me That befall preposterously

Sleep and I will wind thee in my arms Fairies begone and be all ways away So doth the woodbine the sweet honeysuckle Gently entwist the female ivy so Sleep and I will wake thee from thy mossy bed Dream of a lover’s sigh inside thy beauteous head Oh how I love thee How I dote upon thee

First rehearse, your song by rote To each word a warbling note Hand in hand, with fairy grace Will we sing, and bless this place All through the house give a glimmering light By the dead and drowsy fire every elf and fairy sprite We’ll dance and we’ll sing in the Midsummer Moon tonight, tonight. Now until, the break of day Through this house each fairy stray To the best bride-bed will we Which by us shall blessed be All through the house give a glimmering light By the dead and drowsy fire every elf and fairy sprite We’ll dance and we’ll sing in the Midsummer Moon tonight, tonight Children of, these lovers blest Ever shall in safety rest Trip away, make no stay Meet me all by break of day All through the house give a glimmering light By the dead and drowsy fire every elf and fairy sprite We’ll dance and we’ll sing in the Midsummer Moon tonight, tonight I'll follow you, make a heaven of hell To die by the hand that I love so well The Midsummer Moon bids its finale farewell tonight, tonight

If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber’d here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to ‘scape the serpent’s tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends.

Once upon a time on a Midsummer's night There was a scary monster who was ready to fight He lived in maze, a great big cave All the heroes tried to fight him but were sent to their graves Now there was this pretty princess she was stuck in this vault She'd been captured by the monster though it wasn't her fault Now who should roll up but my main man Theusus Rollin' down the block in his dope new Prius He swaggered toward the monster said, "What's up dude? In case you haven't noticed, I'ma make you black and blue!" Thesus saved the princess when he chopped off its head But our thug gets bored quickly so he dumped her On an island In the middle of nowhere Thesus keeps on rollin', finds an island full of women He thinks that this is paradise but finds out they will kill him With muscles to their left and muscles to their right, They beat'cha to a pulp 'cause they lookin' for a fight What What, What, What, What! He thought the queen was fine, but she punched him in the face He thought the queen was feisty so he took her anyways Word
